Sendai est connue pour ses festivals d'été comme le Suzume-odori (vidéo), littéralement la "danse des moineaux", fête où l'on danse avec des éventails en l'honneur du fondateur de la ville, Date Masamune. On peut notamment y goûter le gyūtan, la fameuse langue de bœuf au wasabi.

Sendai is known for its summer festivals like Suzume-odori (video), literally the "sparrow dance", a celebration where people dance with fans in honor of the founder of the city, Date Masamune. There you can taste the famous gyūtan, grilled beef tongue with wasabi, the specialty of Sendai.
